How I cancelled my Cable and I still watch my favorite shows

Another Quality Online Deal:

This is a true story: earlier this year I was victim of the struggling
economy and I lost my job for a period of time. During this time i had
to take a close look at my bills to find a way to get through this troubled
time until I found another job, i eventually did.

I had to cut back on some things just until things got better. So we decided to
cut off all luxuries and only keep the things that we really needed, so the first thing to go was the cable. Let me tell you that was not easy, So to get some
relief I did a Google search for free live streaming movies, I remembered that
every television station has a website and every station website has the shows
that are on tv. The results for free live streaming movies opened up a whole
new world of shows and movies i could watch for free online.

I got a list of over 25 different websites. I was so used to having a DVR to tape
my favorite shows but when I cancelled cable all of that was gone. I then
decided to buy a Tivo machine which is machine that does the same thing as
the DVR did but once you buy a Tivo there is no more cable bills you only pay
$12.95 per month for the Tivo service which comes out to just over a hundred dollars per year. That is nice compared to the costly cable bills per month.

Recently I have been seeing other companies like Netflix, Blockbuster,BlueRay,
iTunes ,who are also starting new programs that bring movies and tv shows
directly to your computer and to your television. The world is evolving in this
direction if you are interested in learning more about cancelling your cable tv
and still being able to watch your favorite show got to the following website:

Best of Luck to you...If I can do it so can you....Aloha

Good Way To Cut Your Grocery Bills

I thought you readers would appreciate this story which I seen on Good Morning America.

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (KTRK) -- Do you know what you're cooking for dinner tonight? Planning ahead can be a great way to save time and money but one woman is taking it to a whole new level.

Superorganized approach to meals saves time, money.
It may be hard to believe, but a Friendswood mom not only knows what she is feeding her family every single night of the week, she has it all planned out for the entire year! She says having a plan has cut her grocery bill by more than half and she's sharing her strategy with us.
Leslie Chisolm admits keeping up with a family of six that includes four boys is not easy.

Leslie says she makes up a menu for the entire year.Every single day of every single month something different with 1 or 2 days per month built in for left overs.

No this not for everybody but you may try it on shorter time periods.
She asks the family what they like and do not like, and then she makes up a menu
for that time period. When she goes shopping she takes the menu with her, she waits for Daily Specials.

There are specials days when the meat goes on sale and those days when vegetables are on sale. She also buys in Bulk and breaks it down when she get home. Everything
is well organized and this saves on compulsive shopping it also saves you so you the won't stress out when thinking about what to cook because she is fully stocked.

This Lady cut down her grocery bill by 1/2, that's good news because her husband was
saying that the trips to the grocery store were getting out of hand. They as a
family stop eating out as much. With this plan they had meals planned with different meats and different vegetables.

To learn more about this story there is a video
showing you the entire story about this Lady and her family...as I seen on Good Morning America earlier today. Hope you enjoy the video i know I did.

Prescription Assistance Program

Just the other day I was watching television and a story came
on about a lady who wad dying of cancer, and she was having
a hard time worrying about her ever increasing prescription
bills. She said one day she seen a commercial with Montell
Williams talking about a free program where she could get
her prescriptions totally free. But she did not take advantage
of it right away, but when she got hard pressed and the bills
got out of hand plus her health got worst, she decided to reach out
for help.

She called a organization called America Pharmaceutical
Research (Prescription Assistance Program )and of course they have their rules and
requirements, but she was accepted and she found out that everything she heard about
this program was true.

It is totally Free...Now she gets her medicine sent to her home
for free and if there is a test needed you can pick up your medicine right there at your Doctor's office.

There are some income requirements
I think any body who makes under 23,000 per year is accepted.
The phone number given was 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669)....

Should I store tomato seeds in the 'fridge or the freezer?

Well i saw on television that since you are not going to keep them for a long time, keep the seeds in paper towels and store them in you refrigerator, away from everything in a cool dry place...put the seeds in paper towels and then put then in some sort of sandwich air tight bag.

This is such a good topic I am also going to ask my followers of my Blog to also weigh in and give their opinion. Hope fully you will get a variety of answers and then you can make a choice that works for you the next time you have a chance visit my blog and let me know some of the answers so that others may also benefit.

Holiday Down Time

Every business gets ready for this time of year whether it is to prepare for an increase in sales/business or to make use of business down time. What can your do with your down time? Here are tips on ways to keep you productive during this time of year.

1. Set Goals- Become goal-oriented. Take this time to look at your current goals. Make time everyday to set goals on different levels. Create an updated marketing plan and budget. Where do you want to be this time next year? Set goals for one year out and then for 10 years. Where do you see your business in 10 years?

2. Prepare for 2010-Get ready for inventory and tax season. Use your down time to organize receipts and accounting information for a smoother tax time.

3. Business Planning- Do you have new products or services to offer in the New Year? Use this time to do research for new ideas. What products or services are not being offered? How can you incorporate them into your business? The economy has caused business to rethink their business offerings. Make sure your offerings are those that would almost be considered necessities. Customers are more likely to use your product or services if it will make their job/life easier.

4. Out with Old-in with new- Now is the time to analyze the statistical data to see what worked for your business this past year and what didn't. Did you try a new market and did not see the ROI you were expecting? Take this time to make changes that will benefit sales for 2010.

5. Vacation/Seminar-Down time is a great time to take a vacation. Encourage staff to take family time during the slower seasons. Take this time to attend a seminar. Update your industry and business skills. Use your down time to read, study, and add to your specialty knowledge.

Business down time can be used productively to prepare you and your business for the next burst of business coming your way in the New Year. Renew your business and create a firm foundation for the busy days ahead.

This article was written by Tracy Rumsey and I thought some one else could
also benefit from this information.

Happy New Year
